Concreta 02 and romance de las plazas launch at Espai d’art contemporani de Castelló
The third number of the magazine, Concreta 02 (Autumn 2013) focuses on the issues of the trace, remains, excess and the mould but also on questions related with the face and the document in time-based art. This issue will feature essays by Liz Kotz, Maria Muhle, Lola Hinojosa, Víctor del Río, Lorena Muñoz-Alonso, Mela Dávila and Thierry de Duve, among others; and the work of artists including Yto Barrada, Hans-Peter Feldmann, Oier Etxebarria and Vicente Tirado.
On the other hand, Isaías Griñolo will present romance de las plazas, a research work in which he compiled material as he accompanied wandering troubadours who say NO as they wander. It takes the form of a "troubadour machine" mixing flamenco singing, poetry and archives generated during this wandering... to compose ballads on what surrounds us. On this occasion Romance de las plazas will be presented under the umbrella of LOS FLAMENCOS, a working group comprising the flamenco singer Niño de Elche, the poet Antonio Orihuela and the artist Isaías Griñolo. LOS FLAMENCOS sporadically collaborates with other artists, in this case with the poet Enrique Falcón.
Taking part in the presentation will be: Nuria Enguita, Laura Vallés (editors), Vicente Tirado (artist), Isaías Griñolo (artist) Enrique Falcón (poet) and Niño de Elche (flamenco singer).
